Issues That Matter to You
More Tax Cuts for Hardworking Georgians
One of our greatest accomplishments this legislative session was the first cut in the state income tax since the 1930s. We must continue to reform our state tax code to cut income taxes, reduce the tax burden on hardworking Georgians and unleash the power of our economy.
Protecting Our Religious Freedom
Now, perhaps more than ever before, our right to believe, worship and live as we choose is under attack from a radical left that is not interested in tolerance. They want to oppress anyone who disagrees with them. I will not back down. Our Founding Fathers built America to be a shining beacon of freedom – most especially the freedom of religious belief. I will always stand with them and for you and your rights.
Promoting More Local Control
Government works best that is closest to its citizens. That is why I continue to fight in every way possible to shrink the size of state government and return the power to the people and their local governments. The citizens of Fayette, Spalding, Lamar, and Pike counties know best how to govern their lives, not Atlanta politicians.
Defending Our God-Given Rights
I am proud to be pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment. I am endorsed by Georgia Right to Life, Georgia Carry and have an "A" Rating from the NRA. This past session, we passed a comprehensive overhaul of our state’s adoption laws – that’s putting our pro-life values into action. Like my stand on protecting our religious freedoms, I will never back down in the fight do what is right.
Empowering Georgia Schools: School Chaplins
As student mental health needs grow, school chaplains can become a vital part of a comprehensive support network, working alongside counselors, teachers, and families. SB 325 ensures they are caregivers, not preachers, and serve all students with dignity and respect.
A recent Associated Press national poll (June 26, 2025) reveals that a majority of Americans now support allowing chaplains to serve in public schools. The data shows widespread recognition that chaplains can offer meaningful support during times of grief, transition, and crisis, without proselytizing or undermining the separation of church and state.
Restore Financial Stability - Gold and Silver
Restoring gold and silver as legal tender doesn't replace the dollar-it simply gives people a choice. In 1979, 268 ounces of gold bought the average American home. Today, that same 268 ounces buys the same average home. The dollar? Not even close.
This is not a partisan issue; it's a common-sense safeguard against inflation, debt, and the decline of purchasing power. Our state has the opportunity-and the obligation-protect Georgians. The time to act is now. Let Georgia become the next state to reclaim sound money and reaffirm the principles of economic liberty and personal sovereignty. The model is there. The constitutional authority is clear. And the economic reasons are more compelling than ever.
Protecting Our Students
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can strike without warning, and survival depends heavily on the rapid use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). While Georgia has made strides in AED accessibility, it's
time to take the next step: ensuring that 911 operators serving college and university campuses have a complete and up-todate map of all AED locations-so they can direct callers to the nearest lifesaving device instantly.
Here in Georgia, while AED owners must report their devices to EMS, colleges are not currently required to share AED locations with 911 dispatchers. We can do better. What we need now is the infrastructure to connect emergency callers with these lifesaving devices in real time-especially on campuses where students, faculty, and visitors may not know where to look.
